چکیده

Since Atanassov introduced the concept of intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS) in 1986, much work has been done to develop decision making models with it as the information representation format. A problem that needs to be addressed in this type of decision making environment is the ranking of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (IFNs). However, it is well known that there is no unique best approach to achieve this. A widely used approach to rank IFNs is to convert them into a representative crisp value, and perform the comparison on them. The representative crisp value developed for IFNs is known with the name of score degree. This contribution presents a novel IFS score function which is further used to derive a fuzzy preference relation (FPR) from an intuitionistic FPR (IFPR). This result has the potential of being exploited to develop prioritisation methods for intuitionistic preferences relations based on their associated score preference relations. In particular, for IFPRs we define the intuitionistic quantifier guided dominance and intuitionistic quantifier guided non-dominance degree and propose a new prioritisation methodology for decision making problems with information represented using IFPRs. We prove that this methodology is an extension of the widely accepted methodology developed for the case of using FPRs to model information in decision making problems.

Non-dominance and attitudinal prioritisation methods for intuitionistic and interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy preference relations

A novel intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS) score function and an intuitionistic fuzzy preference relation (IFPR) quantifier guided non-dominance based prioritisation method are introduced. Based on Yager’s continuous OWA (COWA) operator, the interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy COWA (IVIF-COWA) operator is defined, and a new attitudinal expected score function for interval-valued intuitionistic fuz...

A novel ranking method for intuitionistic fuzzy set based on information fusion and application to threat assessment

A novel ranking method based on multi-time information fusion is proposed for intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs) and applied to the threat assessment problem, a multi-attribute decision making (MADM) one. This method integrates a designed intuitionistic fuzzy entropy (IFE), the closeness degree of technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS), the decision maker¡¯s (DM¡¯...

Medical Waste Disposal Method Selection Based on a Hierarchical Decision Model with Intuitionistic Fuzzy Relations

Although medical waste usually accounts for a small fraction of urban municipal waste, its proper disposal has been a challenging issue as it often contains infectious, radioactive, or hazardous waste. This article proposes a two-level hierarchical multicriteria decision model to address medical waste disposal method selection (MWDMS), where disposal methods are assessed against different crite...

The 2-additive fuzzy Choquet integral-based TODIM method with improved score function under hesitant fuzzy environment

Recently, the TODIM$^1$(an acronym in Portuguese of interactive and multi-criteria decision making) method has attracted increasing attention and many researchers have extended it to deal with multiple attribute decision making (MADM) problems under different situations. However, none of them can be used to handle MADM problems with positive, independent, and negative interactions among attribu...

A New Model for Interactive Group Decision Making with Intuitionistic Fuzzy Preference Relations

Abstract. A new method is proposed to solve the interactive group decision making problem in which the preference information takes the form of intuitionistic fuzzy preference relations. Firstly, we aggregate all individual intuitionistic fuzzy preference relations into a collective one. Then, a method to determine the experts’ weights by utilizing the compatibility measures of the individual i...
